About Us

The Virginia Business Leadership Network (VABLN) is a business-to-business (B2B) association dedicated to educating industry about increasing workforce diversity by including the talented, yet underutilized pool of employees with disabilities. Led by a network of employers who share in this common vision, the VABLN effectively improves disability-hiring practices and maximizes our members´ return on investment.

Our Mission

As a B2B Best Practice resource, The Virginia Business Leadership Network (VBLN) assists employers in recognizing the many benefits of including people with disabilities in their workforce.

Our Operating Model

The VABLN is a proud affiliate of the United States Business Leadership Network (USBLN). There are 43 chapters in 32 states including the District of Columbia across the US today -- a sign that business is taking notice. As a business organization and network of Best Practice employers, the VABLN is recognized as "THE" Virginia business resource for enhancing the employment of people with disabilities.

A growing and diverse pool of employers across the Commonwealth of Virginia has joined the VABLN, and today, these employers are proving the business case for hiring employees with disabilities. Members include SunTrust Banks, TecAccess, ECMC, Virginia Commonwealth University, Kaufman & Canoles and Food Lion. The VABLN enjoys active participation from businesses, all of which champion the many opportunities to create productive and supportive partnerships among private and public organizations.

Our Motivation

With increasing labor and talent demands, organizations must improve their diversity efforts and tap into new talent pools to remain competitive. Employees with disabilities can improve business productivity and efficiency, reduce turnover, and expand customer base.
