Virginia Providers Leadership Network (VPLN)

Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services (DRS) in collaboration with the Virginia Business Leadership Network (VBLN) has taken the lead to create the Virginia Providers Leadership Network (VPLN). The VPLN will be an important on-line resource that aids service provider efforts in helping people with disabilities in Virginia get training, find and retain work. The goal of VPLN is to work with people with disabilities, employers, and service providers like you to break down barriers that prevent people with disabilities from finding a valuable, rewarding and lasting work experience.

As a service provider, your organization plays an important role in equipping people with disabilities with job skills they need for success in the modern workplace. VPLN encourages communication between service providers to better coordinate and expand the capacity for serving people with disabilities throughout Virginia.

Created by Commissioner Jim Rothrock of the Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services, the VBLN and endorsed by Governor Tim Kaine and his Edward Turner, Special Advisor to the Governor we seek to establish partnerships with employers that result in people with disabilities successfully meeting the employment needs of Virginia businesses. VPLN also works to enhance the provider´s ability to deliver services to people with disabilities.
